About Peter Deahl 

Peter Deahl Co-founder of The Pruning School in Warrenton VA.  This school holds horticulture and pruning classes that are open to homeowners and professionals.  All aspects of pruning and related horticultural and arboricultural subjects are taught.  The Pruning School also goes to professional organizations to teach the art of biologically correct pruning to staff.

Founder and proprietor of Peter Deahl, Fine Pruning, LLC.  Fine Pruning is a horticultural contractor that services commercial and residential clients by pruning ornamental shrubs and trees.  The company also provides tree care services through ISA Certified Arborists that are supervised by Peter.  Peter is also a Consulting Arborist. 

Peter has spent the past 30 years lecturing, teaching and speaking at myriad industry and extracurricular functions such as; County Master Gardener groups, Tree Steward Groups, schools, Government agencies, Garden Clubs, The Audubon Society, The Sierra Club and The International Society of Arboriculture.  He is also an ISA Certified Arborist, License #0074. Peter holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree from Western Illinois University as an Interpretive Naturalist.

Peter is a cooperator and holds a Master Banding Permit with The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bird Banding Laboratory, participating in Federal and State bird capture, band and release programs during fall migration in Cape May Point, New Jersey.  During the tenure of this project we have banded and released over 100,000 birds of prey that include hawks, owls and eagles.
